Stephen Hull received his B.S. in Telecommunications Management from Illinois State University. While a student at the University, he worked in the residence halls providing computer support. Since graduation, he has worked as a independent contractor and also has managed a Radio Shack in his home town of Quincy, Illinois. Stephen’s primary assignment in CAS-IT will be to provide support in the departments housed in Felmley Hall, Julian Hall, and the Science Lab Building, where he will join Mark Lynch and Bill Shields in serving the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Geography-Geology.

CAS-IT was organized in January 2005, uniting previously independent academic computing units that each served selected departments into one unit that brought the entire College under a single information technology support umbrella. Since the establishment of CAS-IT, staff have cooperated on a number of initiatives to provide more efficient support and a wider array of services than had been possible before. With the arrival of Genung and Hull to the CAS-IT team of professionals, every College unit will have at least one full-time staff member providing it support. This is a key development toward realizing Strategy Six of the College’s strategic plan, adopted in Spring of 2005: Enhance the College-wide technology infrastructure to support excellence in scholarship, teaching, and learning.
