 Stevenson Hall Construction Site

The College office will relocate from Stevenson Hall to Williams Hall on May 12, where it will remain for the next year. The move comes as the second phase of a $23 million Life Safety Improvement Project for Stevenson and Turner Halls is implemented. The primary intent of the project is to correct problems with the life safety systems and upgrade the mechanical and electrical systems for the two classroom and office buildings. The Departments of Economics, English, Languages/Literatures/Cultures, and Mathematics will also be located in Williams Hall this summer, while the Department of Philosophy will be housed in Turner Hall. “While I realize that this project has been the source of some inconvenience, I believe that the improvements being made will result in a more pleasant learning and working environment for everyone,” said Ann Beck, Associate Dean for Research, Technology, and Facilities.

In August, the Departments of Economics, English, Mathematics, and Philosophy will return to Stevenson Hall. However, the Office of the Dean and the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures will be located in Williams Hall until June of 2009.
